Making a Fit Muslin April 19th

$50.00

Class times:

Saturday, April 19th

1-3:30 pm

In order to get a good fit in your clothing I highly recommend making a test version in inexpensive plain weave fabric to test the fit before cutting into your precious final fabric. Sometimes I am able to incorporate this process into the class time for a particular garment, but that is not always practical. In this class you will choose what pattern it is you want to have fitted to your body and I will help you determine the best way to sew up your muslin and assist you in evaluating the fit as well as deciding on any changes you might want to make to your pattern.

This class is suitable for all levels. If you don’t have any sewing experience at all, please complete the intro to sewing class prior to the start of this class.

Supplies:

Fabric: You will need a suitable amount of plain weave fabric for your particular pattern. I have muslin fabric available for purchase in the shop.

Please note:

  • Studio sewing machines are provided,

  • In order to maximize our class time, fabric should be washed and cut out in your appropriate size before the start day of the class.

  • If you would like to use the studios space and supplies for cutting out your fabric, please sign up for studio time.

  • If you would like help picking your size and understanding your pattern I HIGHLY recommend signing up for one of my free classes on Understanding Patterns.
