Welcome! My name is Adria and I’m so glad you are here. I began making my own clothes as an antidote to the disappointment I felt in the fast fashion industry and the challenges of ready to wear clothing that did not fit my body and left me feeling deflated. I had no idea at the time that it would fully transform my life and open a path of self discovery, intuitive exploration and expanding confidence and self expression.
I have always had a passion for making things. I designed and sewed my first clothing as a little girl when my mom first taught me how to use a sewing machine at 8 years old. I remember how empowered I felt as a child knowing how to make simple clothing for myself.
I am here now to challenge the cultural messages of consumerism and diet culture. I believe when we take the time to honor our humanity and individuality and create something unique, personal and expressive that honors our unique bodies we take back our power and shine.
I am so excited to share what I have learned with you. Whether you are an experienced sewist, you have never touched a sewing machine before, or something in between, I know you will find inspiration, growth, healing and empowerment in my classes!
