Christie Cardigan April 4th-25th
Class times:
Friday’s 4:30-6pm
April 4th - 25th
This class is suitable for confident beginners and intermediate sewists.
Christy is a versatile knit cardigan that combines an oversized aesthetic with thoughtful shaping. Its extra long sleeves create a striking contrast with the fitted body hitting at the high hip, resulting in a modern silhouette.
This design features bluff patch pockets, a distinctive V-shaped detail at the bottom front hem and bands in self-fabric for polished finishes, even without a coverstitch machine.
With its blend of comfort, versatility, and style, the Christy Cardigan is an elevated wardrobe staple, whether dressed up or down.
Supplies:
Fabric: For this pattern, I recommend mid-weight sweater knit fabric with some body and drape in cotton, wool or synthetic blends. Matching or contrasting rib knit can be used for the bottom, front and sleeve bands.
There are several options available for purchase in the studio.
Notions:.
Coordinating thread
Fusible interfacing
3 1” buttons
Silicon tape
All notions are available for purchase in the studio
.
Please note:
Studio sewing machines are provided.
Purchase of the pattern is included in the cost of the class.
Pattern printing is included in the cost of the class.
In order to maximize our class time, fabric should be washed and cut out in your appropriate size before the start day of the class.
If you would like to use the studios space and supplies for your cutting out your fabric, please sign up for studio time
If you would like help picking your size and understanding your pattern I HIGHLY recommend signing up for one of my free classes on Understanding Patterns.
